I have purchased this book and I was not asked by the author for a review. The whole review is 100% mine, as honest as possible.
This is the third book in the series and I enjoyed it. I got so engrossed in the story that I couldn’t put the book down.
A boss not used to ‘no’.
An employee planning to fly solo.
Can he give her a reason to stay?
Art conservator, Kara Michaels has decided to stop pining for her boss and chase her dream—start her own business restoring and framing works of art. But then he blindsides her with a counteroffer she can’t refuse.
Sexy, gorgeous millionaire and gallery owner Baron Fitzgerald plays by his own rules. He is unstoppable when he wants something and he always wins. Always. When his most valuable employee decides to quit, he offers her everything to make her stay, including a week in his bed at a secluded cottage. But his offer is just the beginning.
In this instalment of the series, we meet Kara Michaels, conservator working in one of the most popular Gallery of Art, but thinking of starting her new business and at the same time distance herself from handsome boss, who is occupying her thoughts and dreams. She lust over him and tries to also forget about her feelings towards him. But nothing works as she wants. After his offer to give him 2 weeks of her time, her feelings only grow stronger, but when his past is coming back and catching on them, the betrayal is something she is not able to stand.
The other main character, Baron, is a successful owner of an art gallery, who because of his past and his ex-fiancée, and what she has done to him, he become cold, distant. Even that he is not able to deny his attraction to Kara. His employee, who he has not pursued because of the policy in his company, that he has written by himself. But after an opportunity strikes, he decides to show how great they can be together, until Valerie, his ex has come back with news that can damaged their newly formed relationship.
Even though I have enjoyed this book, I have to be honest and give it only 4 stars as the end really disappointed me. I thought that Baron will have to try harder to win Kara over, and his simple Sorry, was just not enough for me. But overall the whole book is an amazing story.
