She grew up in Northern California, where she ran around on her family’s farm, raising animals, riding horses, playing flashlight tag, and turning hay bales into cool forts. She volunteers helping animals and is eco-friendly. She feels all animals, people, and environment should be treated kindly.

 Darkness of Light (#book 1)

darkness1Freak. Witch. Crazy. Schizo.

Ember Brycin has been called them all. She’s always known she’s different. No one has ever called her normal, even under the best circumstances. Bizarre and inexplicable things continually happen to her, and having two different colored eyes, strange hair, and an unusual tattoo only contributes to the gossip about her.

When the latest school explosion lands her in a facility for troubled teens, she meets Eli Dragen, who’s hot as hell and darkly mysterious. Their connection is full of passion, danger, and secrets. Secrets that will not only change her life, but what and who she is—leading her down a path she never imagined possible.

Between Light and Dark, Ember finds a world where truth and knowledge are power and no one can be trusted. But her survival depends on finding out the truth about herself. In her pursuit, she is forced between love and destiny and good and evil, even when the differences between them aren’t always clear. At worst, she will incite a war that could destroy both worlds. At best, she will not only lose her heart but her life and everyone she loves. Once the truth is out, however, there will be no going back. And she’ll definitely wish she could.

DARKNESS OF LIGHT is a Mature YA(16+)/New Adult Paranormal Romance.

“I’m having a difficult time coming up with words other than, “Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness!” right now. I feel like I’m sixteen again and just discovered the paranormal genre for the first time. Ugh.” ~ Christy at Captivated Reading

“”This plot is amazing, and it will slowly blow your mind! This is one of those books that you will not be able to let go, give up, or put down. I am completely obsessed and I will be reading every book until it’s the end! I LOVED IT! You will too! 5 PAWS!!!!!” ~ Maghon at Happy Tailes and Tales.

“Amazing kick off to this series. Beautifully written, Darkness of Light draws you in right from the start, and Stacey doesn’t give you everything up front. She stretches it out, she makes you wonder, she makes you think, and she makes you love these characters.” ~ Heather form Not Everyone’s Mama

My thoughts:

After reading the first chapter I wasn’t sure if I will like or hate this book. Ember didn’t show much character in here, but then? Wow. The story is getting so good and Ember is basically kicking some butts!

Instantly I did not like Sheriff or the Principal. They were like: Seriously? Are you abusing your position and power you have? I felt for Amber. She lost her Mother and it was not a pretty death (if any can be). She was murdered. And for a 13 year old girl it’s a tragedy, which causes her to start seeing and hearing things. After years of treatments and change of school, place and home people believe it’s better. But… Now, 5 years later, she is getting worse. Unexplained things are happening around her and she seems to be in centre of them. To add more confusion, a handsome, mysterious guys is showing in her life.

I’m not sure if I am already in love with Eli. Some things he does and says, make me question his intentions towards Ember.

The story is really well build and even if the pace is slow at the beginning, it’s so worth reading! It left me wanting more, and I was so happy that I had it on my Kindle already! The main and secondary characters are really well developed.

As for me strong 4.5 stars for this part.

Fire In The Darkness (Book #2)
Paranormal Romance

darkness2It’s been four weeks since Ember Brycin witnessed what her powers are capable of. The Electrical Current Storm has turned Seattle, Washington into a natural disaster zone. The death toll is in the thousands with countless others homeless and hungry.

And Ember is the one who caused it. Something she will have to live with every day.

Those people who were unable to escape either turned quickly into gangs or live in shelters. Ember, on the other hand, can’t do either. With a price on her head and a Dark Dweller on her ass, she is constantly on the move. Both Light and Dark are hunting her for their own purpose to use her as a weapon or a pawn in the war between the Unseelie King of the Dark and the Seelie Queen of the Light.

Em needs help but doesn’t know who to trust: Lars, the mystery man Torin told her to find? Torin, the Seelie Queen’s personal knight, who has sworn to keep Em safe?Or Eli, who wants to turn her over to the Unseelie King, but whom she has an undeniable, intense connection with?

No matter what she chooses she will probably lose—her life or everything and everyone she loves.

“This series just blows my mind. You guys all remember how much I LOVED Darkness of Light, and Fire in the Darkness delivered just as much as the first book. I could not put it down. It kept me guessing right up until the end, and I think I actually gasped out loud a few times while reading.” ~ Michelle at Book Briefs

“Fire in the Darkness was everything I hoped the story would be and more! The sexual tension between Eli and Ember is just as scorching as in the first book but their relationship is definitely changing as they face more challenges. Even though I would have been content to keep the entire focus on the two of them, the introduction of several other characters was a welcomed change and ultimately prevented the story from becoming dull. It’s not necessary but I still suggest reading the first book in the series for no other reason than to spend more time with Eli.” ~ Dark Faerie Tales

“I’m dying waiting for the next book! Dying!! DO you hear me!!! I so totes loved this. It’s a fast pace, mind screwing, sucking you in and you don’t want to find your way out type of book. You need to read it. Believe me you WILL NOT be let down. I am so obsessed I am pretty sure I need EOA ( Eli Obsessed Anonymous) or DSA (Darkness Series Anonymous).” ~ Book Boyfriend Reviews

My thoughts:

This book takes place a month after the first book. Ember has ended up in Seattle, where she is trying to hide from the Queen and Eli. But straight away in the book she is forced to fight for her life and life of her beloved ones. To make sure she is keeping Mark and her friends safe, she is making a deal that will have a huge impact on her life.

The book had so many turns, that I was basically on edge all the time. I stayed late at night to ensure I have read it. I could not put it down. It was amazing.

Ember even though powerful and dangerous if needed to, didn’t loose her vulnerability. She is still soft and caring, and my heart hurt for her also.

Eli, oh damn him. He is so hot, but I want to strangle him sometimes. he is unpredictable and so damaged, that it draws you in.

Their love is just not easy, and I don’t think it will ever be.

5, well deserved, stars!

Meant to be read after Fire In The Darkness

“Thank you Stacey Marie Brown for this book… it was wonderful to see the story from Eli’s point of view. I was racy and raw and very Eli!! I really enjoyed reading this book. This series has been wonderful. I am about half way through the fourth in the series. I love the story and quite honestly, I don’t want it to end. But it has been an awesome adventure!!” ~ lisakttn

“Getting to see the other side of the story was awesome! I LOVE Eli!!” ~ Kelli

“This series keeps you on the edge of your seat. I love the twists and turns to the storyline. Engaging, entertaining, and fun to read.” ~ Wendy Thrope

Dwellers of Darkness (#book 3)

darkness4Some days feel like years, but in Ember Brycin’s case just the opposite is true. Em would be 22 now—if she were human. She’s not. She is a Dae—part Demon and part Fay—with a little Dark Dweller thrown in to make her more of a freak.

Life has become further complicated for Ember since returning from the Otherworld. Besides being continuously hunted by the Seelie Queen, Ember is at the top of the Unseelie King’s list, after breaking her oath with him. No one breaks a vow with the Unseelie King without extreme consequences.

Adding to Ember’s problems is a certain Dark Dweller whose mood has become violent and cruel. As much as she’d like to deny it, there is an undeniable connection between them. Eli is sexy, gorgeous, and frustrating as hell. She also knows he is holding something back, something that could change their relationship forever.

But her problems go way past him. As the tension for war mounts between the Seelie and Unseelie (Light and Dark), the tension at the Dark Dweller’s compound escalates even more as they prepare to obtain the Sword of Light—the only weapon able to kill the Queen.

But is Ember the answer to the location of the sword? Is she the one to fulfill the prophecy? As usual nothing is ever what it seems.

“This series continues to be one of my absolute favorites and I’m so glad to have discovered this story and especially this amazing author. The writing is fantastic and flows perfectly, I’m in love. I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves a character driven, emotional story that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time!” ~ Brittany at Biblio Belles Book Blog

“Oh my goodness! After reading what Ember goes through this book…well…if it was any other favorite heroine, I would want to say I wanted to put her in my pocket to keep her safe. Nah, not Ember. She’s one tough chick and although she’s close to reaching the breaking point so many times, she’s strong enough to survive it. She has gone through so much, and although I want her to find some peace and happily ever after, I know she can handle the darkness that’s still to come.” ~ Lori Palle at Ebook Escapes

“If you haven’t read this series you are missing out. This is a MUST READ for anyone who loves misbehaving, tattooed biker boys with strong hearts and backs, able and willing to carry the world for the ones they love. Anyone who enjoys strong, confident but shaking-on-the-inside women who know what needs to be done and do it the best way they can, trying to save and protect the ones they love with no thought about protecting themselves. And especially for those who know that family is not just blood but also those you are willing to shed tears for; that love has no fear when it comes to shielding and defending those who matter most.” ~ Heather Hand

My thoughts:

I so did not expect THAT! After Ember and her loved ones, were imprisoned in the Otherworld, she was trying to come back. And once she did, I was not expecting that 3 long years have passed!

The chemistry between Ember and Eli takes another few levels up and it’s just so HOT! After she comes back to our world, she finds out that Eli has thought she was dead…but this is not only thing. He has changed. He is impatient, erratic. Not the same guy she remembers. In the meantime, her feeling for Torin are getting more complicated and she is forced to chose. Even if she doesn’t want to, not she is prepared to do that. After she thinks she can be happy, Lars is emerging and requesting from her to hold onto her end of the bargain. He doesn’t care who is going to get hurt in the process. The end result has to be the one he planned.

The relationship between Eli and Ember, takes you to a rollercoaster. One minute you are happy, next sad, angry, sexually frustrated. Torin and her bond with him. Lars. So many ties, that my heart could not take it, but I still continued to torment myself. But such emotional whirlwind I can have with every book I read!

This book is a bit slower than the previous one, but nonetheless so GOOD!

5 amazing STARS!

“Best series I’ve read in a while!” ~ T Reader

“Stacey went all out to give us new and old fans an incredible read, and she hit it out of the park with this final chapter of the series. I didn’t want this series to end, but can tell you that I’m looking forward to her next adventure that she will take all of us on.It will be a wild and exceptional ride that I’m all saddled up for. This book will not disappoint you; however you may have an overwhelming response to cry to know that the chapter of Eli and Ember are have concluded. Exceptional Stacey, simply Exceptional!” ~ Sweetlove and Hotness Britches

“I jumped into this series full force and grew to love the characters more every step of the way. The passion between Eli and Ember really was something not from this earth. It was the kind of love people only dream to find. Throughout this series it was almost like I could reach out and touch the characters. I really felt like I was standing right beside Ember this whole time. Stacy kept me on the edge of my seat, and there were many moments where I’d find myself laughing out loud or whipping My tears from my face.” ~ Diana

My thoughts:

YOWZA! This book is seriously AMAZING! The best part from all of them!

So much Eli! Hot, HOT! I couldn’t get enough of him in previous books, and in here Stacey gave me what I wanted!!

In here, we have good and bad characters returning. The battle begins again. The tough decisions that Ember has to make made me sob and cry. Tears were running down my face.

Stacey is going beyond my expectations in descriptions of feelings love, friendship, battles and violence. She has done it all amazingly.

You will have moments were you can’t stop laughing (mostly with Cal as main character). But you will also have moments, where you will be saying (out loud, like me): NO FREAKING WAY.

I really enjoyed the whole series. It’s one of those series, that you will always want to come back to and reread.

5 STARS for this book and amazingly well deserved 5 STARS for the whole series.

I can’t wait for more books by Stacey!
