A tingling sensation began
at the back of my neck and moved to encompass my entire scalp, culminating in a
ringing in my ears as I turned to see a very tall, very handsome man, about
thirty years old, standing over me, smiling.  He had a dark mop of
hair, somewhere between dark brown and black (I wasn’t sure which, but would
have been thrilled to get up close and personal, running my fingers through it
to make a well-informed determination).  He had thickly lashed blue
eyes, the kind that seem to glow when the light hit them just right, just as
they were doing at that moment.  He also had those high cheekbones
that all demi-gods have, and full sensuous lips I imagined would have been at
home on just about any inch of my skin, surrounded by just the right amount of
scruff.  He also had what my mom would have called a Pepsodent smile,
probably the product of years of orthodontic work (which, somewhere in the back
of my mind, I felt was reassuring; perhaps he wasn’t actually born completely
All that was missing from the picture was a halo,
a sunbeam and a pair of white wings.  Perhaps also a bare, oiled
chest and a white drapey covering over his hips, but who was I to be so choosy
when I already had this Adonis speaking to me.  Being the extremely
cool and confident young woman I was, I’m sure I gave him a slightly deranged
looking smile in response.

“Uhhh…. leaving home, actually.  Short
trip to New York.  Going to visit an old childhood friend,” I said
with all the wit and brilliance of a canned ham.  Undaunted by my own
awkwardness I blundered forward.  “How about you?  Leaving
L.A. after working on your tan?” I said with what I hoped was a saucy wink, but
probably looked more like a nervous tic.

He laughed outright (to my great relief) and
shook his head.  “Nope.  I’m leaving home just like
you.  I’m also headed to New York.”  The line inched ahead
again, and we moved forward with it.

“Wow, that’s a coincidence,” I said. “Business or
pleasure?”  That sounded like a fairly normal question a fairly
normal person would ask, I told myself.  I cleared my throat and
stood a little straighter, hoping it wasn’t too late to salvage my image.

“It’s a business trip, but I’ll be there a couple
of weeks so I’m hoping to fit in some fun while I’m there.”  His eyes
lit up a little.  “I love the city, you know?  If it were
all work… well that would just suck.  I want to do it all, take in
the sights, see the shows, eat the food, and watch the people…”  He
looked at me sheepishly.  “I suppose that’s expecting a little too
much for a work trip though. They’re paying me to actually get a job

“They must be some crazy bastards to bring you to
a place like that then expecting you to work around the clock for two weeks
straight, resisting the temptations of New York.  What nerve.”  I
said, shaking my head in mock disgust.

“It could be worse, I guess.  They
could be sending me somewhere in Kansas.”

“Ah, but then you could visit the world’s biggest
ball of twine.”  I offered earnestly.

He looked at me skeptically.  “I’m
think I’m afraid to ask how you know that.”

“Sadly, I’m filled with a million useless
facts.  The good news is I’m a great partner for Trivial Pursuit.”

“I didn’t know that game was played with a
partner,” he said.

“Err…well that’s usually the only way anyone
will play with me,”  I said looking at my feet.

He laughed silently for a moment, one hand
pressed against his mid-section, which appeared to be extremely taut beneath
his tight black t-shirt.  Although it was probably a very bad idea,
given my already embarrassingly strong physical attraction to the man, I took a
moment to look over his lean physique.  His shoulders were broad and
muscular and his pectorals were clearly defined beneath the cotton clinging to
his form.  His chest tapered to a trim waist, and his faded denim
jeans were slung low on his hips.  A pair of scuffed black boots
completed his look.  I wondered what he really did for a living,
because all he needed was a leather jacket, and I could easily imagine him on a
motorcycle riding from town to town doing odd jobs for pocket money.

I am a native Angeleno,
specifically an original valley girl.  (Cue Frank Zappa music).  I am
a self-professed bibliophile, with a Kindle library larger than Imelda Marcos’
closet.  I have also been writing since I was old enough to form letters
when someone shoved a crayon into my tiny little fist as a toddler.  Those
letters eventually became sentences, and those sentences eventually turned into
stories.  It took a long time before I was able to turn those stories into
something I felt was worthy of sharing with the world, but finally here we
are.  I hope that you agree.
As for the rest of me, I’m a 40-something (no, I’m not going to tell you how
many somethings follow the 40) mother of three who has been married to my
husband for 14 years.  We live in a small enclave just north of Los
Angeles with my aunt, Nickii Fowler, who is also an author.  (Check out
her work!

Shattered Perfection is my debut novel. The original draft was written over a
three week period in October/November 2014.  It “marinated” on
my hard drive until February 2015, when a good friend and fellow author, Nick
Marsh, begged to read it.  I was completely against the idea, but being
the persuasive and amazingly handsome fellow he is, he was impossible to
resist.  (He paid me to say that last part).

After far less rewriting and editing than I imagined would be necessary, I am
now able to share with you a story that I hope will make you laugh, cry and
ultimately feel as though you have loved right along with Mimi and Vance.

tag19I freeze at the sight before me, not sure what the hell to do. Do I run? Close my mouth maybe? Yeah, that might be a start.

A man is hanging upside down on a bar, his arms crossed over his chest, doing sit ups. He’s shirtless and full of tattoos, his defined muscles flexing as he moves with little effort. I can’t make out what he looks like, except that his body is lean, muscular and splattered in ink. Every exposed inch of it, stopping at his neck.

There’s a small lamp on a table in the corner, giving off just enough light to see that he’s there and covered in sweat.

He stops mid lift and growls when he notices the door is open. Every muscle in his body stiffens and before I know it, he maneuvers his way off the bar and jumps down to his feet.

He stands up straight, his sweats hanging low off his slender waist as his muscles tense up again. He clenches his jaw, before taking a step toward me and stopping just close enough for me to see his face.

My breath hitches in my throat at his beauty and becomes even harder to catch when I look into his pale gray eyes. All that reflects there is pain and darkness. It gives me a chill that runs all throughout my body, but makes my legs quiver with desire at the same time.

His head is slightly tilted forward, allowing a strand of his blonde hair to fall into his eyes as they slowly roam up my body, stopping on my face. He doesn’t say a word. He just looks up into my eyes, making my blood run cold. He looks deadly; like a fucking lethal machine, ready to strike. His arms are flexed by his sides with his hands clenched into fists and he’s at least six feet one.

I don’t know whether I want to run away or into his bed, wherever that may be. His eyes are so powerful and demanding that I can’t even talk. It’s like he has some kind of power over me. I just stare back like a fool and hope that I won’t fall to my knees.

That is until I feel a hand on my shoulder, shaking me out of my revelry. I jump and a small scream escapes my throat as I turn around to see Jax. He looks pissed and I know that I’m in trouble.Royal teaser

 My thoughts:

I have received an ARC of this amazing book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I started reading the book but then I realised that I have missed some story from the previous 2 books I have stopped and read the first 2 books, which by the way were also AMAZING. Even though you can easily follow the story without reading the first books, I think that you get a better insight into Evo and his personality. And besides they are awesome, so why not read them also?

I like Evo. I like him a lot. He is cocky, snarky and have that bad boy vibe but at the same time he is kind and loyal. During book 1 he was involved in Micheal fight and during this fight he is being imprisoned, and then rescued by Michael. But after his return he was different. Dark. Full of something that was growing inside of him.

L.J. did an amazing job with creating the story, the emotions and descriptions of the world. The characters are really well developed and I enjoyed them all.

5 heavenly stars from me ❤

About The Author

L.J. Sealey was born and raised in a little Welsh town by the sea. It rains a lot, so she often has a great excuse to sit at her writing desk and while away the hours at her laptop.
She still lives in N.Wales and when she’s not travelling around the country working with her husband – who is a professional singer – or singing backup vocals herself, she likes to read and watch her favourite TV shows which normally includes plenty of CSI, The Vampire Diaries and endless amounts of sitcoms.
Being addicted to reading about vampires, demons, shifters and angels, she has always had a thing for all things paranormal and is a big sucker for impossible love stories. So it was inevitable that when she started writing herself she would mix the two together.
L.J. Sealey is the author of the paranormal romance series Divine Hunter.

He’s everything I’ve never wanted—an egotistical, womanizing MMA fighter. Yes, he’s easy on the eyes with a body to die for, blue eyes to fall into, and a smile that will make your heart skip beats. His smell is intoxicating, and he’s fun to be around. But I’m not interested in being another notch in his bedpost. I can’t lie and say I haven’t thought about what it would be like. I have. Unfortunately, I know a woman like me can’t make a man like him settle down.

Look at me. I’m everything she wants—a sexy MMA fighter who no one can resist. What? I can’t help they all want me. I know she fantasizes about my naked body on top of hers. Who doesn’t? But she has telltale signs—her glassy green eyes, her crimson red cheeks, and the sweat that glistens on her face—she wants me. I’ve never had to chase, you know, put effort into getting a girl in bed, but she is sending me on the longest treasure hunt I’ve ever experienced. Not even my smile can make her panties drop. Blitz Tour: PAMLICO MOON by Tressa Messenger

PAMLICO MOON by Tressa Messenger

Publisher: Limitless Publishing

Release Date: October 13, 2015

Come, child, let me tell you a story—like Romeo and Juliet, but better…

That story was tragic, but what if everything changed?

What if, despite all the pain and anguish from their families, the young lovers had faith and remained true to their hearts?

What if they’d run away and started over, leaving everything behind—money, family, and suffocating plans made for them by others?

What if their love endured…forever?

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if that were true? And maybe it is—somewhere. You just have to believe.

But what I want you to understand is this—Love is not always easy, nor is it always kind, but it is always worth it…

And even more precious under the beautiful light of the Pamlico Moon.

“Romeo and Juliet is known as the most famous love story. The couple met young and fell in love instantly, but the only way they were able to be together was in death. The first time I saw Romeo and Juliet performed, I was among the crowd that grieved for the beautiful, tragic couple. But now that I’ve lived, I believe a true love story is when two people love and grow together. They struggle and start a family. They become old and get sick, but all the while they remain deeply in love, supporting and respecting each other. That’s a true love story. That is my love story. I’ve loved one person for almost my whole life, even when life separated us, my feelings never changed. He was my best friend, my home, my Pamlico moon.”

Tressa Messenger grew up in a very small town in Eastern North Carolina called Reelsboro in a coastal county called Pamlico. Being as it was such a small area Tressa developed an immense imagination at a young age. That is where she harnessed her love for writing.

To date Tressa lives in New Orleans Louisiana with her husband, daughter and an assortment of critters.

As of right now Tressa has nine books published, some self-published and some being published through Limitless Publishing.

As a young writer Tressa has overcome adversity of Dyslexia and continues to exceed expectations.

ARC Review: Generation by Heather Hildenbrand

“After months of pretending to be Raven Rogen, Ven feels less like a clone and more like a human than ever. But when Raven’s father, Titus—the same man who engineered Ven—discovers her plan to escape, everything she’s worked so hard for is taken away in one explosive moment.
Now she’s imprisoned in Twig City, the secret warehouse where she grew up. She spends her days plotting ways to get back to the outside world, determined to topple Titus’s empire and free every last Imitation. But Titus’s reach is extensive and his plans are more deadly than she realized.
In the shocking conclusion to the Imitation series, one wrong move could mean the end for Ven and everyone she’s come to love.”

My thoughts:

ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

This series is so different than Heather’s Dirty Blood (*sigh* Wes). But its a good different.

In here just like in her previous books the writing is amazing and the story line is flawless.

Where the previous book has left the readers wondering what will happen, this part gives you all the answers you may have.

It’s really hard to review this book without giving any spoilers. After Venn has been rescued from the Twig City, she makes her priority to bring Titus down, even if it will cause her personality to change to a darker one.

Heather has created amazing story line, well developed  characters and world that sucks you in.

It’s an amazing dystopian story, one that I will return to read many times.

5 stars from me 😊

ARC Review: Blue Horizons by Kathryn Andrews

Title: Blue Horizons

Author: Kathryn Andrews

Genre: New Adult, Contemporary Romance

Published: October 19, 2015

Will Ashton

Music is my motivation. I’ve always believed that, because of it, I would be somebody. Somebody to someone, and something to myself.

At age four, I picked up my grandfather’s acoustic guitar and, up until three weeks ago, I’ve never put it down. From a single chord to a full arrangement, music fed my soul. I craved it with every fiber of my being, but now, I just don’t know. That driving force that’s always pushed me has somehow stalled, along with the thrill, the passion, and the familiarity . . . it’s all gone. I’m beginning to worry that my love for music just isn’t enough.

As the summer tour finally comes to an end, I head to the Blue Ridge Mountains instead of returning to Nashville. It’s here that I’ve always been able to lose myself amongst the solitude and the lake, but what I didn’t expect to find was her.

Wild blonde hair, light blue eyes, and a laugh I find myself trying to coax from her has me completely enamored. She’s quiet, incredibly poised, and driven by secrets as big as the mountains around us. They’re what’s made her untouchable, and left me wanting to know more.

Maybe that’s what I need. Maybe I need more. Maybe I need her.

Ava Layne

They say that life isn’t about how many breaths we take, but how many moments take our breath away. But what if those moments aren’t filled with happiness and love, but something dark and haunting? For me, it’s those moments that’ve shaped and taken over my life. I can’t change who I am, God knows I’ve tried, and, because of this, I’ve accepted the silver lining . . . I’m alive.

Fifty-two white keys, thirty-six black keys, ten fingers, seven notes, two friends, and one stage. At the piano, on the stage, with my two best friends, I finally found myself, and I live for those moments. One by one, I collect them, cherish them, patiently waiting for the next, until it arrives and changes everything. That’s the moment I meet him.

OVER TEN YEARS ago my husband and I were driving from Chicago to Tampa and somewhere in Kentucky I remember seeing a billboard that was all black with five white words, “I do, therefore I am!” I’m certain that it was a Nike ad, but for me I found this to be completely profound.

Take running for example. Most will say that a runner is someone who runs five days a week and runs under a ten minute mile pace. Well, I can tell you that I never run five days a week and on my best days my pace is an eleven minute mile. I have run quite a few half marathons and one full marathon. No matter what anyone says . . . I run, therefore I am a runner.

I’ve taken this same thought and applied it to so many areas of my life: cooking, gardening, quilting, and yes . . . writing.

I may not be culinary trained, but I love to cook and my family and friends loves to eat my food. I cook, therefore I am a chef!

My thumb is not black. I love to grow herbs, tomatoes, roses, and lavender. I garden, therefore I am a gardener!

I love beautiful fabrics and I can follow a pattern. My triangles may not line up perfectly . . . but who cares, my quilts are still beautiful when they are finished. I quilt, therefore I am a quilter.

I have been writing my entire life. It is my husband who finally said, “Who cares if people like your books or not? If you enjoy writing them and you love your stories…then write them.” He has always been my biggest fan and he was right. Being a writer has always been my dream and what I said I wanted to be when I grew up.

So, I’ve told you who I am and what I love to do . . . now I’m going to tell you the why.

I have two boys that are three years a part. My husband and I want to instill in them adventure, courage, and passion. We don’t expect them to be perfect at things, we just want them to try and do. It’s not about winning the race; it’s about showing up in the first place. We don’t want them to be discouraged by society stereotypes, we want them to embrace who they are and what they love. After all, we only get one life.

In the end, they won’t care how many books I actually sell . . . all that matters to them is that I said I was going to do it, I did it, and I have loved every minute of it.

Find something that you love and tell yourself, “I do, therefore I am.”

My Thoughts:

Copy gifted by the author in exchange for an honest review.

It was my first book by Kathryn. And I’m ashamed to admit that. I own all of her books but there is always something that is more important. But after reading this book, I couldn’t wait any longer and started to read her previous books. I want to kick myself that I have always pushed them away. But anyway… let’s concentrate on Blue Horizons.

In here we meet Will Ashton. A successful musician who appears to have everything. Money, fame and life he has chosen 10 years ago. But standing on the scene during he concert his thoughts are not full of pride and achievement. There is no adrenaline. No rush he used to feel while performing. There is only feeling of being lost. The only thing he can think of is to run away from there. Far away. Somewhere where no one will be able to find him and somewhere where he will be able to think. To find his path again. After he walks away after the concert we meet him again few months later in the only place he is able to find piece. Among the mountains, on the lake where he used to spend his time with his grandfather. What he did not expect was to find something that was missing. Or rather someone. He did not expect to meet Ava and simply fell for her. It was not in his plans, but once he met her and got to know her, he realized that she was the missing piece to make him happy.

Avery Layne is a troubled young woman. She has lived through something that no one should have. And this traumatic day has damaged and scarred her beyond anyone imaginations. Now she a timid, closed and afraid of simple touch. When I read her memory flashes, I cried, even though it’s not an ugly crier. Not at all. But I felt her pain, fear and her drive to be free from this haunting memories. And she found her hope in Ash. A mysterious guy who she met during her weekend at her friend’s parents house.

Kathryn has touched a really difficult topic here and what I liked the most is the fact that she didn’t concentrate only on this. On ho Ava was damaged. Hurt. Scared. But on how Will wanted to help her even though he didn’t know what has happened to her and what to do. He simply took his own personal experience and tried to help her as once he was helped by his foster parents.

Kathryn’s writing is flawless. She has amazing style that pulls you straight away. I have fallen in love with Will instantly. And I have fallen in love with Clay. His quiet best friend. Even though he is not appearing in the book as often as I would like, I loved him for his kindness and understanding he gave to Will, when he needed it.

Beautiful story that will make you laugh, cry and sigh every so often.

5 heavenly stars ❤

I am a sucker for happy endings and Alpha boys
I love books that make me happy and wanna laugh.
Meet Terra Kelly:
A romance nerd at heart, I tend to find inspiration in my dreams, or when walking my dog. My love for romance goes all the way back to when I was 15, and laying on my best friend’s bed reading romance books. It only took me 25 years to start putting all my stories on paper….well actually a computer. I was born and raised in Michigan, now live in the South in North Carolina. So my accent sounds like a Yankee with a slight Southern drawl. When I am not writing you will find me reading, or baking.
My real life romance started when I was just 19. Now over 20 years later, my husband is not only my lover but my best friend. We only raise furry kids, we have one dog and two cats. Our animals are all rescues.
I am a foodie, who loves creating recipes. Over four years ago I started a food blog at CafeTerraBlog. My love for food is why each of my books will always share new recipes made by the characters.
I love connecting with my followers. You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. I will keep you up to date on what I’m writing, book release dates, and so much more.
Meet LadyJ:
I grew up in Upstate NY, but my heart belongs in Arizona. If given the chance, I’d gladly trade in frost burn, for sun burn! I speak in movie quotes ALL the time. Seriously, it might be considered a sickness by now 😉 I absolutely love the sound of others laughing. So I’ll try to get you to do just that!
I love coffee, peanut butter cups, and OF COURSE reading!
I grew up causing all kinds of trouble with my twin sister/partner in crime.
My wild over-exaggerated story telling grew, along with my love for reading. With the support of my hubby and the encouragement of my womb mate, I put pen to paper, and let my imagination take over.
I am an author currently working on the release of my debut novel. Forever Marked is a romantic suspense, and the first book in a series. I enjoy reading all genres. Paranormal, thriller, romantic suspense, dystopian…. You name it!

Meet R.J. Loom:
R.J. Loom was born and raised along the shores of Lake Erie in Ohio, where she still resides with her husband, two teenage children and two spoiled dogs. She loves books, music, travel and anyone with a great sense of humor. When she’s not writing, she can be found with her nose in a book, looking for more books to add to her “to-be-read” pile or spending time with her family.

I live in Modesto, California(Too much hot weather) with my parents and Twin brother with Cerebral Palsy. I also have 2 cockers, buddy who is 3 and Ladie who is 1, they are my life.

Meet Lisa Messier:
I’m a 30 year old SAHM to three girls and am married to the most amazing man. I grew up in a small farming community in northern Alberta before moving to the “big city” at 20.
I write for the same reason I breathe, because it is necessary for my survival. I’ve been writing since childhood and actively keeping what I write since I was twelve. I love looking back and seeing who I was then reflected in the words I wrote. You can still see who I am now in the words I write today.
