ARC Review: Paper Thin by Jennifer Snyder

Blurb:

Fate has always seemed to mock Charlotte Montgomery, continuously dangling the man of her dreams just out of reach. It isn’t until Charlotte receives word her older sister Emma is getting engaged that she feels fate’s teasing has hit a new high.

Once she begrudgingly decides to return home to the tiny town of Parish Cove, curious to find out who has captured her sister’s heart, fate suddenly seems as though it may have tossed her a bone.

The problem: Charlotte forgot one simple thing…Fate has never been her friend.

Emotions run high. Happiness will be shattered. And tragedy will strike, leaving everyone feeling paper thin.

My thoughts:

Copy gifted by the author in exchange for an honest review.

This book was one hella of an emotional journey. I cried, I sobbed and cursed. A lot. I was so angry at Jennifer that she made me feel so many emotions. I was like: WHY? My heart was breaking, shattering.

It was my first contemporary story by Jennifer and I have to say that her writing is as amazing as the one in her paranormal books. With descriptions so deep that will make you cry even though you are not an easy crier.

To be honest I have no idea how to write this review without spoilers. The story is really deep, emotional. The journey main character is going through is making you simply feel.

Charlotte is coming back home, even though she was trying to avoid it for a very long time. Sometimes she seems like a really selfish person but as the story progress you are able to see more and more of her real self. And she is beautiful. She has a beautiful personality but she is a bit scared of letting herself simply be her.

Her relationship with her sister is different. They don’t hate each other but are not particularly close also. But either way they both learn so much from each other.

I would like to say so much more but Spoilers! And I hate them! You will have to go and read the book by yourself to find out what happened to Charlotte and how all the people she  met during that stay changed her and helped her the decision she made.

This book is beautifully written and deserves all 5 heavenly stars from me! ❤
