Mature YA Contemporary Romance-Stand Alone
Release Date: July 15, 2016
Nico Medina’s world is eleven miles away from mine. During the day, it’s a place where doors are open—where homes are lived in, and neighbors love. But when the sun sets, it becomes a place where young boys are afraid, where eyes watch from idling cars that hide in the shadows and wicked smoke flows from pipes.
West End is the kind of place that people survive. It buries them—one at a time, one way or another.
And when Nico was a little boy, his mom always told him to run.
I’m Reagan Prescott—coach’s daughter, sister to the prodigal son, daughter in the perfect family.
Life on top.
My world is the ugly one.
Private school politics and one of the best high school football programs in the country can break even the toughest souls. Our darkness plays out in whispers and rumors, and money and status trump all. I would know—I’ve watched it kill my family slowly, strangling us for years.
In our twisted world, a boy from West End is the only shining light.
I hated him before I needed him.
I fell for him fast.
I loved him when it was almost too late.
When two ugly worlds collide, even the strongest fall. But my world…it hasn’t met the boy from West End.

I love Ginger’s books. She is one of my favourite authors. Her books have that special something that make you connect really well with her characters. The story makes you laugh, smile, cry, bleed and feel everything what protagonists feel. It’s simply magical and real. Even if it’s a fiction. They are that good.

In here we meet Reagan and Nico. I loved them both. Reagan is from a family that doesn’t have to worry about finances. They are popular: brother who is a football star, dad who is an amazing football coach and mum who is perfect for social events, planning them and hosting. And Reagan is just smart and ambitious. But she also see how the stress and pressure of being THE BEST has its toll on her family. She is not blind and see all the good and all the bad. And she wants to document that as a movie that will be her submission to college. She thinks that this is real but then she get to know Nico. A boy who was her rival in every school debate A boy from rough neighbourhood and from lower class family. And he changes her perspective.

Nico is different. He never wanted to take the easy way in life and start dealing with drugs. He wanted something more. He wanted to escape. So he run. He received scholarship to get to a prestigious school and wanted to just study to do the same for college. And then Reagan has approached him with an offer to try out for football team. He thought he doesn’t need it but he loved the game. And that’s how their story started.

I really enjoyed the book. I loved the story and the background. The only thing I was missing was the POV of Nico. I wanted to see the world through his eyes. But the books is equally good

4.5 heavenly stars from me
