Loving War by C.M. Owens (Sterling Shores book 4)

It’s here!! Basically when brilliant C.M. Owens told the readers on Thursday that she will be releasing it earlier I was jumping in joy! I was so waiting for this part! I just love this series! I was so glad that once I finished my work on Friday the book was there. My husband after seeing me and my eyes, just sighed and said: “Take away today?” God I love him hahaha.

So after I got home around 5ish I was stalking Amazon (I was doing it at work, but sshh) to make sure I will not miss it! And around 6ish the book was there! On my kindle! Oh my, I was gone for the world!

Small blurb:

Tria Noles and Kode Sterling are a match made in hell, and no one will deny that.

They’ve hated each other for years. Kode is the jerk who doesn’t care what anyone thinks. Tria hides under a cold façade to appear strong and confident. There’s no possible way they could be anything together besides a volatile disaster.

But when their chemistry overrides their logic, they have no choice but to face their twisted attraction to each other. When that attraction refuses to fade, what started off as physical turns into something neither of them expected—or wanted.

Tria has spent most of her life living in her sister’s shadow, and it’s no secret that Kode was once one of the many who adored Rain Noles. It’s hard for her not to keep her guard up, because she doesn’t want to feel overlooked once again.

Kode starts to realize he might have been chasing the wrong Noles girl all these years. And there’s a lot he did wrong in the past when chasing Rain that could jeopardize any future he has with Tria.

There’s a thin line between love and hate, but which side do they stand on when all the secrets are aired?

My thoughts:

I freaking love this book! The beginning left me panting and I had to wait few minutes until I moved to next one! I got my coffee, cookies and was considering to have my hubby near me just in case 😉 The book is full of sexiness, badness and love!

The story tells us the relationship between Tria and Kode – enemies for almost 11 years after their meeting in a club, where both hoped to just run away from their city where no one knows them. They hated each other, but they couldn’t deny the lust they felt towards each other. After one eventful night they decided to be not friends and not enemies with benefits, but purely people with benefits. The whole relationship with no string attached was working perfectly for them, until Tria is attacked again by her ex-boyfriend and Kode feels protective. After that everything changes. Their feelings, the status and how they treat each other. Kode is no longer and ass**** towards Tria and she certainly is not an Ice Queen! After few heartbreaking scenes they decided to make it official, even though they knew what other people will think.

I love Kode’s determination when the truth about him, Rain and Dane comes to light. he fights for Tria and their love. But what I love more? Their way of dealing with the break-up hahaha that was hilarious! The book will make you laugh, cry, laugh again, cry so much more. Loved it!

And what’s more: Kade and Raya are again making an appearance ❤  God, I love that couple!

It’s a must read! If you have not read the previous part it can be hard to follow the story!

Enjoy the reading!

Blush by Anne Mercier (Rockstar, book 2)

So:  IT’S life!!! The second part of the amazing series by Anne is life! And she was even amazing and published it earlier, awesome, isn’t she?

But! The review. I have received an ARC copy of the book in exchange of an honest review.

So the book takes us back to where the first part left us: The night when Lucy woke up next to Jesse in Las Vegas, shocked, terrified and happy at same time! I still laugh when I remember the adventure to find Elvis!  I love this book! It shows the love between Jesse and Lucy, and how deep it is. There are many obstacles, pain, betrayals and even danger, but that’s what makes it a brilliant book. Groupies that follows FD everywhere, mamma Russo, grandpa that makes appearance…

I love that Anne includes everyone from Falling Down and Blush bands, so they are really a family. You can see that they respect each other and love each other. Jesse and Lucy are working out the best way of being a couple and not to give in to all those small bumps they have on the way to being a perfect couple.

I was in love with Jesse in the first part, but now Lucy can have him! I want my Xander! God he is crazy, every single time when I think about his play list I am either LMAO or snorting because of that! I still can’t believe his taste in music.

Anne has this amazing gift of making you believe that the characters are real (they are, aren’t they? LOL).

So if you still haven’t read the first part: GO AND GET IT NOW! It’s a must read and Blush is even better – especially when you like hot sex scenes :]

Blurb from the book:

Author: Anne Mercier

Series: Rockstar Series #2

Genre: Contemporary Adult Romance

*WARNING* This is not a dark romance. There will be minimal angst or drama. There will be lots of laughs, frequent dropping of the F-bomb, and crazy monkey sex.

You know how people say they woke up in Vegas married and you’re like, how the hell could that possibly happen? Who does that? Well, us apparently… and the press is having a field day.

Let’s not even get started on the topic of my mother. Then there’s my grandpa wanting to meet my new husband–that’s not scary at all. On top of that, we’re heading out on tour and I’m a nervous wreck–factor in the fact that Jesse’s newly changed marital status doesn’t seem to be an issue for the groupies. Nothing deters them. Not even the fact that I’m standing right there when they proposition him.

I can handle the press, my mom, and even my grandpa. But the women who are ruining my current mood of “happy”, well, they’ve got another thing coming. It’s time to put these women in their place because nobody messes with my happily ever after.

Lucy and Jesse continue in Blush, Rockstar #2.

Anne Mercier

“I’ve got it,” Xander shouts and bangs his fist on the table in the quaint little diner.

“What have you got? Herpes?” Meggie asks with a snort.

“Ha, ha. No, smart ass, I’ve got our title.”

“What title?” Sera asks.

“Well, you know how PR goes through and gives the tour some fancy schmancy title usually based on the album title?”

“Yeah,” Cage tells him. “I think we’ve got that handled.”

“Dude, Cage. No. I’ve got the title for our tour.”

“Yeah? What is it?”

“The BFD tour.”

Meggie snorts.

“The what?” Cage asks.

“The BFD tour. See, technically it can be the Blush-Falling Down tour but really what we’ll be calling it is the Big Fucking Deal tour.”

“Um, Xander?” I say.

“Yeah, Luce, what’s up?”

“Well, the big fucking deal thing? That can be construed as it’s really not a big fucking deal.”

He waves a hand at me. “Luce. We’re talking about us. There is no mistaking that.”

“True, true.”

“So what do you say, Cage my man? The BFD tour?” Xander asks with a grin.

“Yeah, Xander, I just don’t see that working. We can’t have profanity in the slogan for the tour.”

“Dude, no one needs to know it’s profanity.”

“Everyone knows that BFD means big fucking deal, Xander,” Sera tells him with a laugh.

Xander pouts for a second and silence fills the diner. Then he perks up. “You know what? Fuck you all. I’m going to slogan the shit out of this tour all by myself and informally call it the BFD tour. That’s going to catch on so much better than whatever bullshit your PR asshats are cooking up, Cage, and you know it. The BFD tour is going to be a big fucking deal!”

“Fuck yeah it is,” Jesse agrees with a fist bump. Everyone else fist bumps as well.

“That’s pretty freaking clever, Xan my man,” I tell him and he preens. Seriously, he preens.

Cage blows out a breath. “I guess there’s no choice then is there?”

“None,” Xander smirks.

Cage nods. “The Blush-Falling Down aka BFD tour it is.”

“This is going to be fucking awesome,” Ethan says.

“No, no dude,” Xander corrects. “It’s going to be a big fucking deal!”

“We’re going to have to listen to this until the tour’s over aren’t we?” Sera asks leaning over and whispering in my ear.

I sigh. “I’m afraid so. Xander’s on a roll and we don’t want to hurt his feelings. I hate when he gets all pouty.”

Sera nods. “Okay.”

A few minutes later Sera shouts out, “BFD!”

And Xander answers her with a fist bump and a really loud, “Yeah baby! B effing D!”

Cage wipes a hand over his face and shakes his head in disbelief. “Bitches, fuckers, skank-ass-hoes, groupie whores, and big fucking deal. You all are going to get me fined for sure, possibly even sued.”

Sera bumps his shoulder with hers. “Should make for an interesting tour, huh?”

Cage laughs. “That it will, Sunshine. That it will.”

~ The Rockstar Series ~

Author: Anne Mercier

Series: Rockstar Series, Book #1

Genre: Contemporary Adult Romance

Jesse Kingston, the lead singer of Falling Down, is a tall, dark, and gorgeous temptation I don’t want to resist.

I’m going to ignore all the warning signs and do what I normally wouldn’t–I’m going to give in to my desire. I’m going to indulge my fantasies and give this sexy rocker what he wants and something he won’t soon forget–me.

Is one time going to be enough? Will one weekend together end up changing this bad boy? Or will it end up changing me?

Anne Mercier

First and foremost I am an avid reader of romance. I read every single day. Without reading I wouldn’t be inspired to write. The same can be said about music. I started reading with Nora Roberts and Sandra Brown’s LoveSwept titles forever ago and went from reading solely traditionally published to reading nearly all indie authors. I still read my Nora and a few others. A must.

I’m just a reader who likes to writes stories sometimes. I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.

I’m a huge fan of music, chocolate, fruit, desserts, Fall, M. Shadows, Avenged Sevenfold, and Milo Ventimiglia

Falling Down (Rockstar, Book 1) by Anne Mercier

I have read this book few weeks ago….for the first time…for now I have read it already 4 times and probably will read it few time more 😀 especially when 2nd part is almost released and 3rd one is the near future 😀 so of course you just have to re-read all of the previous parts!

Small Blurb:

I was twelve when I started crushing on him.

I was seventeen when I met him by chance and our connection was made.

Now here I am, twenty-three, and I’m one of the two actresses in the video for his band’s latest single.

Jesse Kingston is a tall, dark, and gorgeous temptation I’m finding hard to resist. It ends up not being as simple as doing a job and going home. It can’t be when he continually makes his presence known with his not-so-innocent touches and sexy words. There is no avoiding him and after spending so much time with him, I’m not sure I want to.

So, when he proposes a weekend together, knowing I should say no, I throw caution to the wind and instead I say yes. I’m going to ignore the warning signs and do what I normally wouldn’t–I’m going to give in to my desire. I’m going to indulge my fantasies and give this sexy rocker what he wants and something he won’t forget–me.

The only question is: Is one weekend going to be enough? Will our time end up changing this bad boy? Or will it end up changing me?

Disclaimer: This book contains remnants of a teenage crush. A straight-laced Hollywood actress. A sexy bad boy rockstar. Rockers who live and breathe sarcasm and sexual innuendos. Explicit wild monkey sex and dirty talk. Graphic language, frequent dropping of the F bomb, career changes, bossy parents, panty ripping, and rock n’ roll. Not for the faint of heart. Heat level: white hot. This is a stand-alone novel with a HEA. No cliffhanger

But! Let’s concentrate on the review…

Falling Down is telling us a story from POV of 2 main characters: Lucy and Jesse (yum!). The story begins innocently on an airport, where 2 have met for the first time. She was staring her career in acting and he was already famous lead singer of one of the most popular rock bands. From the beginning they felt the zing between them. The scene where Lucy saw Jesse is just amazing and their first conversation? Hilarious!

Few years later, where Lucy is famous as an actress and has one an award, they meet again. And again the whole scene is just hilarious and after that it’s just getting more and more sexy and smut. But thank God! Anne is not only concentrating on physical side of their relationship, but shows their feelings and thoughts. How scared they are, how overwhelming their feelings are and how deep they run.

I love this book. Partly because of the main characters, but the rest of the group is just AMAZING. And guys from Falling Down? So worth drooling over! You will fall in love with all of them, I guarantee!

The ending of the book is even more shocking then you would thought it to be!

Go and grab it now, the links are posted below! 😀

Review of “Hazards of Mistletoe” by Alyssa Rose Ive

The Hazards of Mistletoe RDL Banner

I have received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.

So…three words: ALYSSA’S NEW BOOK. That’s all….joking!

In this part of Hazards Alyssa is presenting us with new character. Savy. A shy girl that is crushing on her best friend, who she sees once a year, during Christmas, which she is spending with her dad and grandparents. She is all about Christmas spirit and decorations. She loves it all.

On the other side of POV we have her best friend, Glen, who is also crushing on her, but they are both oblivious to their attraction until one night, where a kiss under the mistletoe changes everything and when normally a kiss is a start to something new and magical, not this time. This time it takes them to a situation where Savy is leaving her family all embarrassed. After the results of that one kiss she is doesn’t love Christmas like she used to.

But! It changes a year after, when Glen is fighting for her. For them.

I really enjoyed that book. It’s a nice novella, that gets you into a Christmas mood just right on time 😀

I love all the Hazards books, so I do recommend them to anyone 🙂

Below you have some excerpts from the book and info about Alyssa 🙂

The Hazards of Mistletoe

One snowy Christmas Eve, one mistletoe kiss, one friendship changed forever.

Don’t underestimate the power of mistletoe. It looks innocent enough, but a single branch has the potential to change your life. One mistletoe kiss led to the most embarrassing night of my life, but thankfully by the next Christmas I ended up exactly where I was supposed to be.

“Ice skating and hot cocoa? What are you buttering me up for?” I sat down on the bench and unlaced my skates. The snow was falling a little bit heavier, but the flakes were still light and more pleasant than a nuisance.

“I’m just enjoying an evening with a beautiful woman. I do have a romantic side you know.”

“Romantic?” What was Glen playing at? I’d had a crush on him for years, but things had stayed completely platonic. We were good friends who saw each other once a year, and teased each other through text messages and late night phone calls. That was it.

He didn’t hear me. He was already in line to return our skates. I waited for him to return with my boots, and not for the first time I was glad I’d worn wool socks. It was cold during the day, but the nights were absolutely freezing.

“Here you go, my lady.” He bent down and proceeded to put my foot into my boot.

I pulled away from him. “Knock it off. What’s gotten into you tonight?” As charming as Glen was being something seemed off with him. I wondered if maybe I wasn’t the only one who was upset.

He proceeded to move on to my next boot. “It’s Christmas Eve. Aren’t you Miss Holiday Spirit?”

“Exactly.” He put on his shoes and tugged on my hand to pull me to standing. “Let’s get those hot chocolates.”

The line at the café on the other side of the rink was nearly out the door, but I was enjoying Glen’s company so much I didn’t mind.

He insisted on buying my hot cocoa for me, and considering he’d already paid for my skate rental, I was starting to feel uncomfortable. Glen had all the money he could ever need, but I wasn’t used to guys buying me anything. My dating experience wasn’t extensive, and it involved boys who were all about going dutch. “I really don’t mind paying.”

“Yeah, but I want to pay. Stop arguing and enjoy yourself.” He lightly bumped his shoulder into mine.

“Well, thanks.”

We walked around the village sipping our hot chocolate and not saying much. After a while we took a seat on a bench. It was underneath a tree, and the pine needles blocked some of the falling snow. I closed my eyes and listened to the chatter of people walking by mixed with the low hum of holiday music.

“You guys need to kiss.”

I opened my eyes and saw a girl staring at us. “You’re sitting under mistletoe. That’s the rules. You’re under mistletoe, you kiss.”

I looked up. Sure enough there was mistletoe hanging over us from the tree. It wasn’t real, it was just the decorative stuff they used, but it had the same unmistakable appearance.

Glen put an arm around me. “I think she’s right, Savy.”

I turned to glare at him. “Don’t even start.”

“Why not? Scared to kiss me?” he teased.

Yes. I was scared. Terrified. This was Glen. Kissing him wasn’t something I was prepared to do casually while sitting on a bench in the snow with a bunch of onlookers. Of course I couldn’t tell him that though. “Why would I be scared?”

“I don’t know. Just checking.” He got a twinkle in his eye. That twinkle should have given me all the warning I needed, but it didn’t. I was wholly unprepared when his lips made contact with mine. They were warm and soft, and they moved perfectly against mine. I kissed him back, desperately wanting to know what his mouth tasted like, and if his tongue felt half as good as his lips.

review of #NERD by Cambria Hebert

I have purchased this book and I was not asked by the author for a review. This is my honest opinion.

Small blurb:

Two people from completely different worlds are about to be thrown together…

In more ways than one.

She wants to keep her scholarship. He wants to stay on the team. An awkward alliance doesn’t even begin to cover Rimmel and Romeo’s relationship.

But that’s about to change.

It starts with a dare. An initiation. A challenge.

Quickly, it turns into more. But when you’re a victim of your status, there is no room for anything real. The rules are clear and simple.

Stick to your circle.

And never fall in love with anyone on the outside.

My thoughts:

Brilliant book! Loved Rimmel and Romeo 😀
The #NERD book is first book in new series by Cambria and I have to say that I fell in love with it!

The book is written from POV of two main characters: Rimmel and Romeo. Rimmel is a typical clumsy, closed and shy nerd, but she is cute. And I don’t mean from her appearance, but from her kindness. She was not happy with her new task of tutoring the most popular guy on the campus. I love her unconditional love for animals and I think the thing that she wants to be a vet is amazing. We can see through the book how she is changing from closed and distrustful girl with a history, to a girl who is love and finally is able to make friends.

Romeo…ah Romeo….at the beginning I wasn’t a huge fan of him, but as the book went more in depth with his personality and his life, “friends” in general I felt for him. At the beginning you see a popular star of college football team, for whom there are only 3 things that are important: get into NFL, get into Frat House on the campus and getting laid. And with the last one he doesn’t have any problems as girls are chasing him. So being tutored 3 times a week is not something he needs. Like at all.

As the story progress we see that both characters are changing and all their insecurities are much more complicated than what we would think at the beginning.

I recommend this books and I can’t wait for the next part! Roll on January 2015! 😀

Review of Souls, book 2 of the Grimnirs series by Ednah Walters

I have received an ARC copy of the book for an honest review.

There is a battle in me. After this part I am totally in love with Echo – I liked him in Grimnirs, but I was in loved with Torin. I was hooked on Torin, but after I have read Souls? Iąm not so sure any more. The love between Echo and Cora is captivating and it makes you want the same for yourself in real life.

But the story.

The book tells us the story of Cora after she started her “job” as a Soul Helper – her communication skills are getting better and she is successfully helping souls find their closure and simply move on. But her awesomeness doesn’t end here. She moved from helping souls to helping living also. She a volunteer in care home and when I read that I had tears in my eyes. Not many people can do that from just pure heart. Cora thinks everything is perfect, her relationship with Echo is blooming and getting more passionate with every second. But then, Echo’s past is staring to haunt her. Literally. A dark souls emerge and seeks her help to patch up things with Echo, but the latter doesn’t want to hear it. But as Core being herself, she is not giving up as she knows that this is the closure for her Echo, that is preventing HIM to move on. She fights for him.

Echo, God he is so hot. I am almost jealous of Cora. Ednah knows how to make girls/women heart to melt. The words that Echo was saying to Cora was making me a puddle of emotions. I cried, literally, few times. He is mesmerizing. but his stubbornness and the fact that he simply doesn’t like Cora’s “job” causes them to fight and they drift further away from each other…

I would like to say so much more! But I know, from my own experience, that spoilers are a big NAY.
There is simply not enough stars for this book. Ednah is just to good. And now I can’t wait for the next parts!

It would be hard to follow without reading the Runes Series, so I recommend to go and get them now 😀

Deadly Pack by Ashley Stoyanoff review

I have received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.

Small blurb:

Since becoming the alpha female of the Dog Mountain pack, Jade certainly has had her share of challenges. She’s had to prove herself to a bunch of werewolves that she spent years hating; forgive her mate who’d done nothing but lie to her, and face the grueling fact that her father leads a pack of werecougars, who are responsible for tormenting her werewolves for many years.

On the upside, the Dog Mountain pack is finally coming together—now that Jade and Aidan’s mate status is official. And now that they know where her father’s been hiding his nasty pack of beasts, Jade and Aidan can concentrate on stopping them once and for all.

But when Jade’s dad finds out that she’s become Aidan’s official mate, all hell breaks loose, and Jade and Aidan soon learn that his plans for their werewolves are bigger than anyone could have ever suspected.

My thoughts:

What can I say? There is not ENOUGH stars for this brilliant book.

It’s a third book in this brilliant trilogy by Ashley. I loved every word, letter. I couldn’t get enough of Aidan and Jade.
In this part we can see their struggle after Jared’s death and how hard it is for Jade to learn about her dad’s second life. Aidan is supporting Jade in this hard and devastating for her time, but what I like the most is that Jade is not suddenly changing into unbreakable and untouchable hero, that no one can defeat. She is still old Jade, that is scared of facing her dad and making more mistakes, so the pack will eventually turn away from her, or even banish her. She is growing and gradually maturing to become the perfect leader, that is able to stand beside Aidan and not few steps behind him.
We learn that Aidan is not only mad about Jade and her happiness. He is genuinely a good and kind person. He cares about the pack and it’s not only because he is the ALPHA, but they became his friends, especially Dominic. The relation between them is just amazing.
But I loved the most is the fact that Ashley didn’t forget about Jade’s mum struggle and feeling. She brought her up and gave her enough attention to see what she is going through.

Loved it and this trilogy is one of the ones that I will be coming back to re-read them many times.

The cliffhanger that exists at the end of the book brings a hope in me to expect maybe more? There is never ever enough of Aidan.

So yes, I would definitely recommend this book and the trilogy of course!

Go get the book now!

is live now :D
