Casey Coffield
has a growing list of personal flaws he keeps locked away in his head:
He’s never on time.

His list of IOUs to his best friend is
endless.

Money is always short.

Goals are never in reach.

Oh, and he’s decided to add college drop-out
to that list, too. He doesn’t really think that last one’s such a bad thing,
but his family insists it is, so it stays on the list.

On paper, he’s a zero. But in person, when
he’s mixing tracks for a sea of bodies at the hottest clubs and parties, he’s
downright irresistible. Just-right stubble on his chin, body of a boxer and a
smirk that stimulates all the right nerves—women have never been a problem.
They flock to his swagger and fall for his charm…fast.

All except for this one.

Purple hair, gray eyes, a raspy voice and
sass, Murphy Sullivan is a little bit country and a little bit rock-n-roll. And
her and Casey? They have history. He can’t remember it, but she wrote a song
about him—and it’s not exactly a love song. But it is good. Damn good. And
uncovering her inspiration just might be the key to solving a few of his
shortcomings—not to mention open doors to his own big break in the music
industry.

But sometimes dreams get messy when they
collide. Sometimes life changes patterns. A past paints the wrong picture and
futures get cloudy. The only question that remains is who will you choose when
the dust settles—you? Or the girl of your dreams?

REVIEW:

I think I have found a new Book Boyfriend. Like seriously. I LOVE CASEY.  And what I like even more is that you can read that book as a standalone even though it’s a part of Ginger’s Falling Series (which by the way is AMAZING).

Ginger writing is flawless. Her stories are amazing and you just get lost in the world she is creating. She is one of the authors that makes your heart pulse with every emotion she puts in the book.

In this story we meet Casey and Murphy. Casey is outgoing, handsome and has big personality. He is a talented DJ and even though his family is not agreeing with his way of living you can see that following your dreams is beautiful and can bring you unexpected encounters, and even love.

Murphy is a shy and reserved person. Even though she and Casey went to school together, he was outgoing and she was barely noticeable. But there is one thing that connects them. Which helped them. Music. And this is where the story begins.

The book is told from both their POVs and it’s simply amazing.

The story just touches your heart and makes you so so emotional. Simply beautiful.

5 stars from me.

Lucky Penny
By L.A. Cotton
WTMO synops.jpg
I was his lucky Penny. He was my light in the dark, hope in despair. Our bond was one of survival, friendship… first love.
But then we were ripped apart and Blake Weston became the memory I turned to when everything else in my life fell apart.
Seven years later, a summer working at Camp Chance is supposed to be my fresh start. Beautiful scenery and the chance to better the lives of foster children – kids like me. But when my eyes land on him across the fire, time stands still and feelings come rushing back to the surface. I thought I’d moved on, tucked him away in my heart. One look into his soulful blue eyes and I know I’m wrong. Blake Weston can heal the broken parts of me. Restore my hope. Love me.
It’s our second chance. A sign we are supposed to be together.
Isn’t it?
I was twelve when I survived the accident that killed my parents. Fourteen when I survived the devil. And sixteen, when I survived a heartbreak of the worst kind.
But in my twenty-three years, Blake Weston might just be the first thing I won’t survive.
WARNING: This book contains references to abuse that some readers may find distressing.

WTMO Excerpt.jpg
“Oh, come on, Penny. I know you two have a rough history, but it’s just that, history. In the past. You can’t let your past dictate your future. Mold you, sure, but define you? Nuh-uh! The Penny I’ve watched grow over the last couple of months is stronger than that.”
Was I?
Most days, I didn’t feel it.
I’d made progress, sure, but the truth was that I was still tethered to the ghosts of my past in ways I hadn’t even realized until I saw Blake again.
So much pain tainted our story, I didn’t know if we could rewrite ourselves a new ending… or beginning.
“You’re overthinking this.” Marissa took my hand in hers. “I’ve watched the two of you together. Everything you felt for Blake all of those years ago is still there. It’s written all over your face every time you look at him. And I don’t doubt for a second that it’s the same for him.”
Warmth spread into my cheeks, and I dropped my eyes. Why couldn’t I just be normal instead of damaged and confused and terrified to step out of the shadows?
Why couldn’t I let myself live in the moment for once.
“I know you’re scared,” Marissa went on. “And that’s okay. But tell me one thing, Penny. Can you live with yourself if you leave here without giving him a chance? A real chance?”
I looked over at the lake where Blake’s group was attempting to cross the water on homemade rafts. His polo shirt clung to his chest as he helped a boy onto the floatation device.
“Well, can you?”
Could I?
Blake had healed me once, and then he had broken me in a way from which I never truly recovered. But somewhere over the last two months, he had started to put me back together. Piece by piece. My head had warned me, tried to keep me away, but my heart recognized him. They called to each other, sought each other out.
Blake already owned my heart.
He always had.
But could I give him my damaged soul as well?

Review: A Risk Worth Taking by Heather Hildenbrand

It was not my first book by Ms. Hildenbrand and won’t be the last. I love her paranormal stories and this one was my first contemporary. And as I expected Heather did not disappoint me. The book was amazingly well written and characters were very well developed.
Ford held me captive in his personality from the beginning and Summer reminded me of myself when I was quiet and calculated everything I did and said. I never went through what she did but still the emotions she felt were pretty similar to mine at some point of my life.
All the characters, the two main and the rest of the supporting characters (mainly Casey, and his friendly personality) created a story that was real and made me feel like I was part of their story.
Simply brilliant and that’s why it deserves 5 stars from me.

ARC Review: Teacher by Heather Dahlgren and Ella Emerson

It’s Live!! Teacher by Heather Dahlgren and Ella Emerson

18+, Not suitable for persons under the age of 18. STRONG SEXUAL CONTENT, MATURE CONTENT, and STRONG LANGUAGE.

Exclusive Excerpt:

The fire I’d been trying to contain exploded. I pushed her against the wall and as her books fell to the ground, I slammed my mouth to hers. It was rough, demanding, all-consuming and when I got a taste of her again, I knew I couldn’t stop this time. She had no idea what she did to me, and I was about to show her.
I pinned her hands above her head as we continued this angry kiss. A kiss that made my cock rock hard and begging for release. When she moaned I broke the kiss and searched her eyes. “Nothing happened with me and Brandi this weekend. Nothing could happen because I don’t want replacement pussy, I want yours.”
She gasped, and I pressed my lips to hers again. Still holding her hands above her head with one hand, I trailed the other down her body until I reached the bottom of her skirt.
I pushed my hand under and rubbed small circles on her thigh. She thrashed beneath me, which turned me on even more. Slowly moving my hand, I cupped her pussy over her panties and she let out a yell that I kept quiet with my mouth. I rubbed her softly, feeling the heat and wetness through her panties. Feeling my way to the top of them, I reached my hand inside and was met with the softest, smoothest, wettest pussy I’d ever felt. I broke the kiss once again and nipped her bottom lip. “Fuck, your pussy is dripping with need. The idea that I made you this wet is so fucking hot.”
“Oh, Levi, please,” she begged and not one to disappoint I slammed a finger into her incredibly tight pussy.
“Fuck!”
“If you can’t be quiet, I will stop. Do not draw attention to this room,” I demanded, and like a good girl she listened. I worked my finger in and out of her as I buried my face into her neck. “Are you a virgin? You’re so fucking tight?”
“No,” she moaned out, and I knew I needed to give her the release her body needed so badly.
I added another finger and watched her beautiful face as she bit her lip to stay quiet. As I finger fucked her, I couldn’t help but look at the way her face flushed and her tits bounced. I was about to bust a nut from this alone, and I knew in the moment that I couldn’t just let her go.
Picking up my pace, listening to her soft moans, I reached my thumb up and rubbed her clit. Like a tsunami wave, her orgasm crashed over her hard and fast. I slammed my mouth to her to be sure she kept quiet while she rode this wave.
When I felt her body begin to shake, I pulled back, with my fingers still inside of her and searched her face. “This is how I feel about you. Understood?”

REVIEW:

Heather and Ella have done it again. She has captured interest with this story that I basically stopped only because I have to eat, sleep and go to work. But if I could I would just read it within few hours. My husband had to literally hide my e reader so I would go to bed.

The ladies have created the story and match their writing so perfectly that I was not able to tell the difference between their writing. And it’s really hard to do! So well done ladies here! Marvelous job!

But the story… I love a good love story. And if it’s hot, seamy and with sexy time it’s even better. For me a good relationship is compatible at all grounds. And sexy time has to be exact that: Sexy. And in here the scenes are just WOW. When I read them I wanted to jump my husband and basically make him if he refused to satisfy me.

In here we meet Levi and Trish. A teacher and a student. But what I like that the story is not starting at school. It starts with an accident and Levi plays the hero 😉 I liked him straight away. He was confident, handsome and hot. But also he was intelligent. Which I really do like in guys 😉 Trish is a Senior in High School and after her previous relationship she is not willing to trust guys. Simply she respects herself way too much. With Levi it’s different. Even though she is not dating she agreed to go on a date with him without hesitation. And Levi….Levi couldn’t help himself. What was their surprise when they meet not long after making plans…at school…as a teacher and student. Levi wanted to do the right thing and simply end the attraction but it was too strong. The pull between them was something that they both could not ignore.

I liked the story, even though at some parts it felt rushed and without much insight. Especially at the end. I missed the real drama. And I was a bit angry with Trish that she has not really defend Levi and said something about Mark being jealous. I was a bit disappointed here. But I really liked the real reason why Levi started to teach. It was different.

4 stars from me 🙂

A random fact that no one knows about you?

Lots of trouble
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be?
I’d love the opportunity to smear the floor with Lukas’s face.
Can you describe Brianna in five words?
Only five words, hmm… Beautiful. Powerful. Humble. Tiny. And mighty.
Do you have any other piercings besides the lip and brow we don’t know about?
Wouldn’t you like to know.

Inhaling a deep gush of flavored misty air, I rounded the corner to the backside of the building, rushing toward the parking lot. A strange prickly sensation climbed over me, like clashing with a cactus. I brushed it off and took the corner faster than planned, speeding up my retreat. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the only one who apparently skipped out of school early today.
Leaning comfortably against the wall was an unfamiliar face, and in my haste, I smacked into him. Literally. My face connected with the solid front of his chest, hands clutching on the muscle of his biceps. In an impossible gut-reaction he caught me in his arms. We wavered a tad, but he managed to keep us erect instead of mortifying me further and tumbling us to the grass.
Damn. What else could happen today?
I forced my glance upward from the black cotton tee conformed to his chest, ready to apologize for my clumsiness. Heedless of how much I wanted to keep my head lowered, I’d rather run and forget this day happened. His hands tingled on my arms still holding me. It should have been too intimate for comfort, but I found the opposite to be true. A sense of safety came over me, probably because he had just saved me from falling all over him.
My hands released their grip and flattened on his chest. His heart quickened under my fingers. The scent of him drifted to my senses, smelling of the woods, wild and reckless. The apology I’d been about to utter got stuck in the back of my throat, and in that blinding moment, I tripped into a set of sapphire eyes. My own heart picked up speed, thumping wildly in my chest—uncontainable like stallions roaming the plains. Nothing like the trepidation I felt previously. This was racing excitement.
He raised a perfectly arched brow, decorated with a studded bar. His eyes sparkled with amusement, assumingly at my gaping stare. I, on the other hand, was unaware that I’d stood stunned, feet planted with no attempt to move from his arms. In retrospect, I can only hope he didn’t find me as stupid as I later felt.
My gaze wandered from his eyes down the planes of his cheeks, to lips donned with yet another piercing. This one was a hoop in the center of his lower lip. Those silver studded lips upturned into a lazy smirk. I watched fascinated by the curl of his mouth. An intense string of butterflies flew in my stomach. They felt more like fireflies, due to the warmth that swirled with the exhilaration. Fleetingly, I wondered if there were any more parts of him pierced.
Then his mouth lowered the tiniest fraction closer to mine, and I stopped thinking at all.

Review: Marked (Marked Duology) by Jennifer Snyder

Marked is a first book in Marked Duology series by Jennifer. It’s. To my first paranormal book by her and if you follow my reviews you will know I really enjoyed her other series especially Dex 😀
In here we meet Tessa and Jace. She is a bit shy 17 year old, with a boyfriend that is really possessive. Not beautiful but pretty enough to make Jace look at her.

Jace. Yeah, he became one of my favourite characters created by Jen. Handsome, confident, snarky and mysterious. Just as I like them. Since the beginning he felt connection to Tessa and was willing to go against all he was taught and all traditions he was raised to believe just to be with her.

The plot has enough twists and turns, together with amazing supporting characters to hold your attention through the whole story.

This book is an amazing paranormal read and will satisfy any of the readers enjoying something different.

4 heavenly stars from me! ❤️

She used to be perky, fun, and full of life—everything I hated about girls and their bullshit exterior. People called her bubbly; I called her “fake-as-hell.”

The edgy, dark, lonely girl in front of me was not the Olivia Brennan I knew from high school—far from it, actually. I knew the story—the whole town knew the story, we witnessed it all. It happened in the blink of an eye and the girl we knew was gone.

But I refuse to watch it anymore—I can’t stand it. I’m going to fix it—fix her. It’s time I showed Olivia her way back…

Back to the girl she used to be.

“She really needs to get up. She’s been in that bed for two weeks, Trish,” my dad says to my mom. They’re right outside my door again. I sigh softly.

“Leave her be, Greg. She’s not ready yet.”

“She’s never going to be ready. No one’s ever ready for what she has to face.”

Mom sniffles and I know she’s crying again. I’m so tired of hearing her cry. There’s no reason for her to cry—not because of me. I lived.

I wish I could cry but I can’t. I haven’t cried since I woke up in the hospital. I didn’t cry from the pain of my fractured and broken bones. I didn’t cry at the funeral when I stared down at the lifeless body of my soulmate—the body lying there was unfamiliar—not at all my Danny. I didn’t cry while I struggled on crutches with a fractured rib over the uneven lawn, past all the weathered gravestones signifying just how final death really is.

I didn’t cry when I lost it at the people—strangers—who didn’t know my friends and my love by more than a passing hello stood there crying and carrying on. They didn’t know their favorite color, their favorite food. They didn’t know Danny chewed spearmint gum. They didn’t know Simon kept us laughing. They didn’t know Cassidy was our support system. They didn’t know Phil wasn’t really as shallow as he led everyone to believe.

They. Just. Didn’t. Know.

They didn’t have a right to cry for people they didn’t know—people who weren’t good enough for them while they were alive.

And me? I just couldn’t cry. I didn’t even cry when my parents took me home and I stared at the corkboard filled with photos of me with my friends, me and the love of my life holding one another and laughing—a life that no longer exists. I stared at it for the hour I waited for the cemetery workers to cover the graves of those I love most. Then I went to them with my tequila.

My eyes are locked on that corkboard now and I can only stare mutely.

I’m numb.

I don’t want to feel. I don’t want to face a future alone, so I stay in bed and sleep. Sleep is the only friend I have left.

Sleep embraces me and holds me tight, blocking out the pain and grief that would otherwise fill my shattered heart. Sleep enfolds me in a cocoon of nothingness, and nothingness is what I crave.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin and still live here today with my two sons and puppy. (Though one day soon I hope to move to southern California!)

I’m an avid reader who gets inspired by reading the stories from my favorite authors as well as listening to various types of music. I am a huge fan of music, chocolate, fruit, desserts, autumn, M. Shadows, Avenged Sevenfold, and Milo Ventimiglia. Through my books, I am proudly creating new Avenged Sevenfold and Milo Ventimiglia fans one reader at a time.

“The best part of being an author, to me, is being able to take the reader to that one place they long to go when they need to escape reality. Knowing I can do that, for even one reader, makes what I do worthwhile.” ~ Anne Mercier

I signed up for ten dates, not nine months. A baby was never part of the plan.
When Wyatt Graves offers my family fifty-thousand dollars extra to buy a plot of land I can’t say no, even after I hear the catch. Ten dates, no strings, no sex, no promises. Sounds easy, right?
Nothing is easy when he’s involved.
I should’ve said no. I should’ve run far away. But it’s impossible to say no to a man like Wyatt…
